Lower Swatara Township police continue to search for Maiquer Andres Salvador, 36, who is wanted for rape by forcible compulsion, aggravated assault, burglary, sexual assault, and four additional charges following the violent attack on Wednesday, Feb. 28, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by Daily Voice on Tuesday, March 4.

ATTACK DETAILS

Officers were alerted after Salvador's ex-girlfriend left a voicemail with Highspire Borough Police requesting information on obtaining a Protection From Abuse order (PFA), police wrote in the release. When officers arrived at her 139 Park Drive home, they immediately noticed she had visible swelling on her face and was in pain, the affidavit states.

She told police Salvador had entered her home uninvited around 4 p.m. while she was working with clients. After they left, she told him to leave, but he refused, accusing her of infidelity and becoming increasingly aggressive.

When she tried to flee down Sylvia Street, Salvador grabbed her, struck her on the back of the neck, threw her to the ground, and forced her back inside after she attempted to lock him out, police said.

Inside, Salvador allegedly hit her in the face, forced her to drink water instead of seeking medical attention, then ordered her to undress. When she refused, he shoved her onto the bed, grabbed her neck, and raped her multiple times throughout the night, threatening to hurt her and her children if she reported him, according to court documents.

While speaking to police, Salvador continued to call and leave voicemails, making his ex-girlfriend terrified that he knew she had gone to authorities, the affidavit states.

Evidence, including clothing, bedding, and her phone, was collected, and she was transported to Hershey Medical Center for a sexual assault forensic exam (SAFE kit).

MANHUNT UNDERWAY

Salvador remains at large and is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to authorities.
